  Project READY Project READY
Project Ready is an alternative-to-detention program in New York City that includes an after-school program and a community monitoring program. Interviews with kids there and lower re-arrest figures suggest that it's working. [read more]
  The FEGS Academy
The Academy pairs every teen in its program with an advisor, and helps them prepare for aging out with a range of programs, from tutoring and GED prep to career development, college readiness, counseling and other supports. [read more]

  Next Generation Center One Stop to Independence

This Bronx drop-in center, run by the Children’s Aid Society, offers recreational and arts programs for teens as well as help with school, work, housing, independent living skills, and more. [read more]
  Queens Family Court : A Room of Our Own

Teen Space, at the Queens Family Court, is a welcoming space where teens can get information and relax, away from the usual court drama, while they’re waiting for their case to be heard. [read more]

  Teen Space: A New York Foundling’s Crisis Nursery

Hope in a Crisis
Parents who are in crisis can bring their children to the nursery for up to three weeks of  childcare, while also getting  support and referrals to help them deal with whatever issues they’re facing. [read more]
